One bedroom bed and breakfast surrounded by peaceful farmland.

Entrance and garden

Lucy Aykroyd welcomes guests to stay for bed and breakfast at her home, a traditional 19th C. stone-built Scottish house which used to be a drovers Inn. It is situated just outside the village of Clatt in rolling rural country about an hour west of Aberdeen, about half way between Alford and Huntly.

Ford of Clatt is ideal for touring and exploring. Staying here you are right in the middle of one of the richest areas in Scotland for Megalithic standing stones, stone circles and Pictish Stones, as well as historic houses, castles and old chapels and whisky distilleries. For artists and writers and those looking to retreat from the world a little The Ford of Clatt provides space and seclusion.

In these peaceful surroundings with clear night skies and a beautiful garden with walks in the surrounding farmland, Lucy, who is a qualified masseuse and yoga teacher (Vanda Scaravelli tradition), also offers massage and, with Judy Cameron, yoga, yoga for pregnancy and monthly meditation classes.
