Wardhill Castle

Wardhill Castle is a unique and romantic venue for family reunions, weddings and parties, completely secluded in the midst of 250 acres of parkland pastures and mature woodland as though it were a world on its own.

It has 12 foot thick fortifications dating from the medieval period, Georgian and Victorian additions, faded carpets, antique furniture and an aged patina of time but at the same time modernised bathrooms, comfortable beds and pressurised hot water and 24 hours central heating and a new kitchen.

There are lovely walks on the estate, among ancient trees and shrubs, a sedgy loch with wild duck and flowery meadows. Nearby, Aberdeenshire's famous castles, ancient stone circles, golf courses, beaches and the whisky trail are within 30 miles driving distance.

This is one of Scotland's oldest castles and has been in the Leslie family continuously for 900 years. William and Sarah Leslie can help with providing a cook or chef, and help you arrange for your stay, making every effort to accommodate your personal requests.
