Surrounded by rolling cornfields and woodland grounds, the cottages are near the conservation village of Allanton, just 6 miles from Berwick upon Tweed and the border with England. Within an easy drive there are wonderful seascapes (Lindisfarne, Holy Island, Farne Islands, Eyemouth), nature reserves, charming market towns and fishing villages, and of course the great variety of castles, abbeys and country houses which all played their part in shaping the fascinating and romantic history of this relatively undiscovered part of Scotland. The cottages are also just 5 minutes from Channel 4's Edwardian Country House, Manderston House.

Nestling in the wooded grounds these two cottages have been built to the highest standards carefully complimenting the 18th century buildings of nearby Allanbank House where owners Liz and Mike Hardy live.

The cottages are identical in layout and are both well furnished and equipped providing stylish and comfortable accommodation for four people.

How to get to Allanbank Cottages:
Served by two important routes connecting Scotland and England, the A1 and the A697, it is only just over an hour from Edinburgh or Newcastle. There is a main line train station at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Allanbank Cottages are located near Allanton, a pretty conservation village with a pub, that is only six miles from Berwick and the English border.
