Plantation Foot

near Moffat,
Dumfriesshire

Sleeps 4 maximum

Plantation Foot is a traditional Scottish stone cottage which has recently been completely renovated and furnished to make a very comfortable holiday house indeed. In the hamlet of Newton Wamphray, near the River Annan known for its salmon, trout and seatrout (fishing permits can be obtained), it is midway (about 7 miles) between Lockerbie and Moffat, some 20 miles from Dumfries, and easily accessible from the M6 and the M74 (1 mile). This is a beautifully kept excellently equipped house whose interior would astound its olden-day tenants who used to work the forestry plantations to the north.
