Built in 1901 as five Edwardian town houses Channings is four star boutique hotel on a quiet cobbled street, overlooking gardens, just a 12 minute walk from the city centre and its historical sites.

The rooms are striking yet elegant, tailored and classic with a combination of textured fabrics - altogether providing relaxing and comfortable surroundings. Many have breathtaking views of Edinburgh while others overlook private gardens (which guests may enjoy in the summer months as well as a sun terrace which captures the sun all day!).

Channings has a cosy club-like atmosphere, comfortable lounges, and a Restaurant which is open all day and serves contemporary and distinctive French food. It also has a modern bar, the Ochre Vita.

The Restaurant
Downstairs at Channings is the secret world of Channings Restaurant. Contemporary and distinctive French food at its very very best in an exclusive and warm ambience.

Sample Menu:

Starter:
Confit of duck leg on parsnip purée,
smoked breast and red chard salad.
Main:
Fillet of Aberdeen Angus beef with braised oxtail and kale parcel,
horseraddish mash and Arran mustard jus.
