7 Gloucester Place
7 Gloucester Place, is part of residential Georgian Edinburgh dating from the early 1800's, and is just 5 minutes walk from Princes Street - a walk amongst some of Edinburgh's finest Classical architecture. Naomi Jennings's home is on the bright top two floors (known in Edinburgh as a double upper), reached by broad flights of pen-checked stairs under the dome of a painted cupola (right). She welcomes guests to stay for bed and breakfast, offering three bedrooms. Two have views to the Georgian façade opposite and the third has views over private gardens behind. The double bedrooms are large and comfortable, furnished with antiques, armchairs, televisions and the usual coffee and tea making facilities. Naomi speaks some French and Italian, and would greatly appreciate any guest who can pull a tune out of the Bechstein grand piano in the drawing room... |
