Pippa and Hugh Lockhart's home is one of the fine Georgian houses in this terrace designed by Robert Reid at the start of the 1800's. The front door is in the middle of the photograph (right). Direct descendants of John Gibson Lockhart (Sir Walter Scott's biographer), the Lockharts are one of the oldest families from Lanarkshire, and number 10 is filled with antiques and family portraits.
London Street is in the heart of the conservation area in The New Town. It is perfect for exploring Edinburgh on foot and is within a 5 to 10 minute walk from Princes St, George St and Waverley Station.
The Lockhart family are very relaxed and welcoming. Even though it's centrally located, Number 10 is a home away from home, very quiet and peaceful.

Breakfast:
Pippa makes a luxury continental breakfast for B&B guests, including organic yoghurt, cereals, fruit, a selection of bagels, croissants and breads, home-made jam and marmalade, fruit juice, plunger coffee or a pot of tea using leaf tea.
You can have breakfast at the dining table next to Pippas kitchen, but if you'd prefer, Pippa is happy to bring breakfast on a tray to your bedroom.
