The Cross Keys Hotel is superbly situated in the heart of Kelso's picturesque French-style cobbled square. The present hotel was built in 1769, but in other forms a Cross Keys hotel has occupied this site since the earliest days of Scottish coaching inns.

Recently modernised throughout to the very highest standard, the Cross Keys today provides a warm and friendly welcome to its guests and excellent service from attentive, courteous staff.

The hotel is an ideal centre for business or pleasure - situated in a peaceful corner of Scotland, yet still within easy reach of Edinburgh and Newcastle.

  • All prices are per room, based on two persons sharing.
  • Children sharing parents' rooms at £15.00 per child bed and breakfast.
  • Unless otherwise agreed, a deposit of £20.00 per person is required to protect your reservation.
  • Dinner, Bed & Breakfast and Short Break rate includes 3 course dinner. Supplements may apply for certain dishes. Short Break rate applies if on Dinner Bed and Breakfast over 2 nights or more.
  • All rooms have either bath or shower but not both, please specify at the time of booking.
  • Single occupancy rooms may be upgraded to selected double rooms for a supplement of £15.00 on the single room rate. Please note this may not be available on certain evenings.
  • The Management cannot guarantee that the accommodation booked will be available before 4 pm. We kindly request you to vacate bedrooms by 11.00am on the day of departure.
  • December prices are valid from 1st - 23rd December. Hotel closed 24th - 27th (and possibly 28th) December inclusive. High season prices apply to 29th, 30th, 31st December. Please ask for details of our Grand Hogmanay Ball.

  • Unlimited Broadband is available in the rooms at £5.00 for 24hours. Please ask for connection on check-in.
  • Small dogs are permitted at the management's discretion and in selected Guests bedroom only. It is the owner's responsibility to make sure that other residents are not disturbed and any damage will be charged on the final bill.
  • Payments: Cheques are accepted only for amount covered by valid card.
