This traditional Scottish stone-built cottage offered by Carol Steel of Ashintully Castle for self catering rental sleeping 4, is in the grounds of the castle, high up on a south facing slope in the hills of Perthshire.

It is reached by a mile long drive (so you have a real sense of being away from the day-to-day world) and is surrounded by 3000 acres upon which you are free to roam and explore the hills, moorland, pasture, woods and two lochs where you can fish for trout.

Just in front of the cottage is an all weather tennis court which you are welcome to use, but as if this wasn't enough, Pitlochry (whisky distillery, salmon ladder, festival theatre, good shops, etc.) and Blairgowrie are within 30 minutes, and castles such as Glamis, Scone, Menzies and Balmoral are within easy day's outings.

The cottage is unavailable at Christmas and New Year (but may be available 'last minute').  
The cottage is unavailable every year April 1st - April 30th.  
   
Bed-linen and towels, fuel, logs for the fire, and electricity are included in the price.
A deposit of £50 per week is required for each week booked, and is non-returnable. The balance of the rent is to be paid 5 weeks before start of the holiday.
Weeks normally start on Saturdays. Children and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
