Balmore Cottage Balmore Cottage is a traditional stone-built Scottish cottage restored to a very high standard and is one of the 9 secluded holiday cottages on the Dunalastair Estate near Loch Rannoch in Perthshire. It stands on the side of a small road and has wonderful views in every direction. A warm and comfortable holiday accommodation for 4. Ideal for a family and ideal for a honeymoon or romantic break.

This area around Loch Rannoch is one of the most beautiful areas in Scotland. Presided over by 3547 foot Schiehallion "Hill of the Fairies", the landscape is pristine: wild heather-covered hills, birch woods, remnants of Scotland's ancient Caledonian pine forest, and an ecosystem of acid soils with mosses, blaeberry, ferns, lichens, red woodland ants, pine marten, red squirrel, deer and golden eagle.

Pitlochry (Festival Theatre, provisions, clothes shops, whisky distillery) is 18 miles, Blair Castle and the House of Bruar (country clothes shop) 16 miles, and Edinburgh 86 miles. The village of Kinloch Rannoch is a couple of miles away. Staying at Balmore Cottage means you have access to a tennis court, and fishing on stretches of the River Tummel, and the use of estate boats for fishing on Dunalastair Loch.
